RankedContent is live
Ask ChatGPT to name the best invoicing tool for a small agency. You get three names, each with a one-line reason. Twenty pages fought a decade of SEO battles to rank for that query on Google, and the AI answer quotes two of them. Which two?
I built RankedContent because that question kept coming back. There is a widening gap between ranking and being quoted, and until now I had no instrument to measure both.
For the past 20 years, my job has been making pages rank. Client sites, my own sites, hundreds of articles. Today, visibility is split across two channels: search rankings and AI citations. Success in one doesn't automatically translate to the other.
What happens when you paste a URL
You drop a link into RankedContent and go pour a coffee. About two minutes later you get two verdicts on the same page: an SEO score for what search engines reward, and a GEO score for what AI engines look for when they pick their sources. GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization, the craft of earning citations from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google's AI Overviews. AEO, Answer Engine Optimization, rides along in the same pass - the question-and-answer structure and schema signals that answer boxes feed on.
Each finding comes back with a grade and a fix. Ready-to-paste JSON-LD schema. FAQ copy based on real questions people ask in traditional and AI search engines. The findings that gate your score sit at the top, the cosmetic ones wait at the bottom, and the things you already do well get their own quiet section so you stop second-guessing them.
From score to shipped
A score you read once and forget is shelfware. So every analysis converts into work: press one button and each finding lands as a task on a Kanban board, where you drag it across until it is done. My favorite loop is ugly and honest - run the analysis, fix the three heaviest findings, then run a fresh one and watch the gauge move.
What RankedContent will not do
It will not promise you citations or rankings. Nobody honest can. AI and search engines change their retrieval habits without notice, and anyone selling guaranteed results is selling weather control. What a score gives you is provenance for every point: which signal was measured, why it matters, what fixing it looks like. You raise your odds, measurably, and you know what you changed and when.
This blog eats its own cooking
One more thing, and it is the part I care about most. Every post here, this one included, goes through the RankedContent analyzer before it ships. When a post scores badly, I fix it or I shelve it. You will see the receipts as this blog grows.
RankedContent is in private beta today. The waitlist is open on the homepage, and I read every entry myself. If your pages deserve to be quoted and are not, come find out why.
